The Gut is the Gastrointestinal System which includes the Stomach, Intestines and Colon.
The Gut Helps the body to Digest and absorb nutrients from the food we eat and also help to Excrete all unwanted waste and by-products in the body.
There are Good and Bad bacteria, fungi and yeast, which are the micro-organisms living in the Gastrointestinal System. The bacteria and all other micro-organisms in the gut are known as the gut microbiome.
These micro-organisms help to break down food in the body. The Good bacteria will help produce nutrients while bad bacteria may excrete toxins in the body through digestion of foods.

Bad bacteria and Some microorganisms in the gut may be harmful and may contribute to some diseases which causes health issues.
Good bacteria are beneficial and necessary for a healthy body.
Bifidobacteria are considered beneficial bacteria, as they can help prevent intestinal inflammation and enhance gut health.
Good bacteria like Bifidobacteria and Lactobacilli, which are found in probiotics and yogurt, can help seal gaps between intestinal cells and prevent leaky gut syndrome. These species can also prevent disease-causing bacteria from sticking to the intestinal wall.
Lactic acid bacteria and Bifidobacteria are two important types of gut bacteria, which are autochthonous ones from birth or acquired from digested food. Lactobacillus and Leuconostoc spp. are the main lactic acid bacteria found in the human intestine.
The health of the gut, Gut Health, might impact both the physical and mental state of health.
Cultivate Good Gut health.
Here are some warning signs of an unhealthy gut.
1. Having an upset stomach like frequent discomfort, bloating, gas, constipation, diarrhoea, and heartburn, etc. These are signs showing poor Gut Health and the gut is non efficient in digesting and processing foods, and having hard time eliminating waste.
2. Imbalance gut and poor Gut health may cause chronic fatigue and make one often feel tired.
3. Unhealthy gut may cause insomnia and poor quality sleep. Majority of the body’s serotonin, which affects mood and sleep, is produced in the gut. Whenever there is bacteria imbalance and inflammation in the gut, sleeping quality may be affected.
4. Sugar craving is a sign showing too much bad bacteria in the gut. High sugar intake in foods we eat are linked to inflammation in the body and may post risk for other diseases.
5. Skin conditions like acne, eczema, and psoriasis which cause skin irritations could be related to Gut issues ( poor Gut Health ).
6. Poor Gut Health may cause problems and inflammation in the nervous system may lead to anxiety and depression causing some to experience frequent mood changes.
7. Imbalanced gut ( poor Gut Health ) may affect the nutrients absorption, regulating blood sugar, break down and store fat, etc. This could possibly trigger unintentional weight gain or weight loss in the body.
There could be many more issues that may be caused by unhealthy and imbalanced gut ( poor Gut Health ).
Thus, we must be watchful over our lifestyle and the kinds of foods that we eat because our lifestyles and food intake can impact the type of bacteria found in our digestive tract and can have short-term and long-term effects on our gut microbiome environment.
Poor Gut health has proven causing unhealthy state of our physical well-being. Thus, Taking Good Care of our Gut Health is Not an option.
Living in Optimum Healthy Lifestyle is the best choice in life.
